    Careers: Biochemistry Bachelor’s Degree Program

Biochemistry is among the top 10 fastest growing occupations in STEM, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the need for biochemists will increase by 31% by 2020. Your academic expertise in biochemistry will be widely applicable to a variety and fields in science, including medicine, engineering, and the food industry. In any of these settings you could be hired as a biochemist on an interdisciplinary team of scientists. An advanced degree (a master’s or PhD) will allow you to pursue leadership roles on these teams. Biochemistry is also an excellent foundation for professional schools in medicine, dentistry, optometry, podiatry, veterinary medicine, and law. Ursuline’s program includes all pre-requisites for graduate programs in chemistry, pharmaceutical science, molecular biology, and medical school.

If you choose to enter the workforce directly following your undergraduate program, you’ll be qualified for entry-level positions in the chemical, polymer, environmental, forensic, pharmaceutical industries and government labs.

    Scholarships: Biochemistry Bachelor’s Degree Program

All chemistry, biochemistry, and pharmacy students are considered for the $5,000 renewable Mulhausen Scholarship.
