Partnerships | John Carroll University

Ursuline College and John Carroll University have partnered to provide JCU Biology majors with a seamless transition into the 15 month 2nd Degree Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program at Ursuline College. Per the memorandum of understanding, Ursuline College will reserve two seats per year for JCU graduates who have earned a bachelor’s degree in biology, completed all prerequisites as detailed in the agreement and met the admission criteria for the second degree program.

JCU graduates may enter either the January or June cohorts by applying to the Accelerated BSN Program at the beginning of the first semester of their senior year at JCU, sending in official transcripts, and submitting a letter of recommendation from an instructor or employer. A letter from the student’s academic advisor stating the anticipated graduation date, as well as verifying that all requirements for graduation and the ABSN program will be completed, must also be submitted with the application.

During the second semester of their senior year, accepted students are expected to take Ursuline Studies 401 at Ursuline College.   All degree and program prerequisites must be completed before a student will be allowed to start the 15 month nursing course of study.
