TOP TEN REASONS TO BEGIN YOUR NURSING CAREER AT URSULINE COLLEGE

Designated a National Center of Excellence by the National League for Nursing and ranked #6 among nursing colleges in Ohio, Ursuline College's Breen School of Nursing is one of the most respected BSN nursing programs in the country. Our undergraduate nursing program faculty are regularly invited to speak at conferences across the U.S. and internationally, and our BSN program graduates are recruited for positions in top research hospitals in Cleveland and beyond. In fact, the Breen School of Nursing boasts a 100% employment rate, post licensure.

Here you'll learn in a high-tech skills lab that mimics a hospital ward. You'll pursue a holistic, values-based education through a curriculum that emphasizes patient-care and teamwork. In fact, ours is one of the only nursing programs in the U.S. to earn an endorsement from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and all graduates leave our bachelor of nursing program TeamSTEPPS certified.

Ursuline selected as a national Change Agent for the Resuscitation Quality Improvement® program

Ursuline College is an early adopter of a new program aimed at improving cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The College’s Breen School of Nursing and Health Professions will be one of the first nursing programs in the country – and the only program in Northern Ohio – to adopt a new educational program to ensure competency in CPR.

The National League for Nursing selected the Breen School as Change Agent for the Resuscitation Quality Improvement® (RQI®) program to ensure that students maintain a high level of competency in patient resuscitation. RQI®’s digital approach helps nursing students achieve sustained mastery of high-quality CPR skills and verified competence through short, quarterly practice and review sessions.

    Careers: BSN Undergraduate Nursing Program

Ursuline's Breen School boasts a 100% job placement rate, post-licensure, and an NCLEX (national nurse licensing exam) pass rates consistently above the national and Ohio average. Because of extensive faculty contacts, students secure excellent field placements as undergraduates and these often lead to full-time jobs in Cleveland's top hospitals after graduation. As the national nursing shortage grows, so will demand for competent, compassionate professionals practiced in teamwork and problem solving.

What kind of job can I get with a BSN degree?
