College receives $200,000 to endow scholarship in honor of alumna

July 11, 2014

Ursuline is pleased to announce that the College recently received a gift from the Saint Luke’s Foundation for Denise of $200,000 to endow a scholarship in honor of alumna Denise San Antonio Zeman.

“Denise Zeman is an outstanding leader in our community and we are extremely proud that she is a graduate of Ursuline College. This generous gift from the Saint Luke’s Foundation in honor of Denise will establish an endowed scholarship at the College that will allow future leaders of Cleveland to receive an Ursuline education. We are grateful to the Foundation for their investment in Ursuline and our future,” Kevin Gladstone, Ursuline College Vice President for Institutional Advancement, said.

The scholarship will be awarded to one student and is renewable for three years. To be eligible to apply, a student must be in their first-year with full-time status; have a strong track record of leadership and community service; and, be a graduate of a Cleveland-area high school.

“An endowed scholarship at Ursuline College provided the perfect opportunity for the board and staff of Saint Luke’s Foundation to honor the work and legacy of our retiring CEO Denise San Antonio Zeman. Denise’s passion for the community and commitment to service were honed at Ursuline. Our gift helps make that training accessible to generations of leaders to come,” LaTida Smith, Saint Luke’s Foundation of Cleveland Vice President for Programs, Outcomes and Learning, said.
