"The Drawing Show explores the endless possibilities of what a drawing can be. It is fascinating to see how artists skillfully combine materials, innovative techniques and personal insight to create a variety of drawings. It is also a unique opportunity to see a mix of work by award winning artists, political cartoonists, illustrators and educators all in one vibrant show,” said Anna Arnold, Director of Wasmer Gallery. “These devoted artists are known for their leadership, excellence and passion for the local art scene.”

“This show is only a small sampling from the rich and diversely talented artists that we are so fortunate to have working and living in our communities,” said Arnold. “When you look at their resumes, the combined skill and creative impact of these artists is immense. Many of the artists were educated at our major art and educational institutions including the Cleveland Institute of Art, Cleveland State University, Ursuline College and Case Western Reserve University. Many of them are educators who have trained successful artists and creative thinkers.”

“The Drawing Show” is a wonderful teaching tool because it has so many different types and techniques of drawing to explore,” said Arnold. “ I hope art educators will visit this show with their students.”
