June 25, 2013

The Ursuline College~St. John College Alumnae Reunion was held on Saturday, June 22, 2013. The Alumnae association honored two women who have showed continued support of the college.

The Ursuline~St. John College Alumnae Association awarded Kimberley Osborne-Milstein ’98 the Crystal Award at the 2013 Ursuline College~St. John Reunion for her continued support of the college. In 1991, the Crystal Award was established and is presented annually to graduates of Ursuline or St. John College who have shown remarkable support, not only to the College, but to the Alumnae Association as well. Osborne-Milstein has continued to support Ursuline through fundraising events with the Alumnae Association. She supports Ursuline students by participating in networking events, speaking for classes and hiring Ursuline interns.

Osborne-Milstein began modeling with the Ford Modeling Agency at age nineteen. Her portfolio included photos in national magazines such as Bride, Modern Bride and Teen. In addition to her former commercial modeling experience, Osborne-Milstein has also been seen in television commercials and films. In 2007 Kimberley co-launched TextileRepublic.com after finding a lack of unique prints and patterns on fabric and merchandise. 'The Republic' provides a platform for artists to emblazon their designs on an exclusive line of fashionable tech accessories, home goods and more. Textile Republic has been featured in a number of national shopping websites, publications and television venues. Kimberley and her Textile Republic business partner Jenn Adams attended NYC’s Fashions Night Out where they met several artisans and designers including Tory Burch. They brought the concept back to Cleveland and organized the first official “Fashions Night Out” event in 2009. Kimberly along with her Republic of Artists partner Jenn, created a “pop-up" marketplace in a 9,000 square foot NYC style warehouse in Warrensville Heights called the Republic of Artists.
