Ursuline College Welcomes New Board Members Lisa Sutton, Jay Masurekar

Ursuline College welcomed two new members to its Board of Trustees on Dec. 1, banking professional Jay Masurekar and corporate attorney Lisa D. Sutton.
“We are so pleased to welcome Ms. Sutton and Mr. Masurekar to the Ursuline College Board of Trustees,” said Sr. Christine De Vinne, OSU, Ph.D., president of the College. “They are accomplished and capable professionals who will bring new insights and enthusiasm to their roles as Board members.”
Board Chair John Newman concurred, adding, “Ursuline College is fortunate to have two new trustees who have such passion and eagerness to serve. Lisa and Jay are Northeast Ohio community leaders and will add much to our Board. As chair, I couldn’t be more pleased.”
Ms. Sutton, a Moreland Hills resident, is a member of the senior leadership team of the Law Department at Eaton
Corporation. As vice president/chief counsel – environment, health & safety, she is responsible for the company's environment, health and safety legal program worldwide. This includes legal support for global operations, mergers and acquisitions, transactions, government enforcement, litigation, and real estate for this Fortune 500 company headquartered in Cleveland. Ms. Sutton also coordinated the establishment of Eaton law department’s inclusion and diversity program.

Prior to her appointment at Eaton in 1998, Ms. Sutton served as an environmental lawyer for Squire, Sanders & Dempsey L.L.P. (now Squire Patton Boggs) in Cleveland. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science at Miami University and her juris doctor (law degree) at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Mr. Masurekar, a Solon resident, heads the gaming and travel investment banking practice at KeyBanc Capital Markets
(KBCM), the investment banking arm of KeyCorp. Since joining KBCM in 2007, he has worked on several capital raise and advisory transactions that raised more than $25 billion of capital for gaming and travel companies. He has more than 15 years of experience in investment banking and financial consulting. Mr. Masurekar is actively involved in community service with a focus on diversity and inclusion as well as economic growth. He serves on the Board of Trustees of KeyBank Foundation and chairs the Asian Key Business Impact Networking Group that promotes diversity and inclusion within KeyCorp as well as the communities in which KeyCorp operates. He is also a part of KeyCorp’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, chaired by CEO Beth Mooney. Mr. Masurekar was recognized by Crain’s Cleveland Business in 2013 as one of its “Forty Under 40” young professional achievers.

A chartered accountant, Mr. Masurekar earned an MBA from Robert H. Smith School of Business at University of Maryland, College Park and a master’s degree in advanced financial accounting from University of Mumbai.About Ursuline College
