SNUC raises $3,000 for the American Heart Association
May 06, 2013
The Student Nurses of Ursuline College (SNUC), Vice President of Academic Affairs JoAnn Podis and SNUC advisors presented a check of $3,000 to the American Red Cross on Thursday May 2.
The money was raised at the Go Red for Women Formal held Saturday February 2, 2013. A portion of the proceeds collected from dinner tickets and all of the proceeds from the raffle and sideboards will benefit the American Heart Association, supporting research and generating awareness of heart disease and its impact on women.
As enthusiastic supporters of public health awareness and woman’s health issues, the Student Nurses of Ursuline College (SNUC) hosted the eighth annual “Go Red for Women Campaign.” While Go Red for Women is a national organization, it’s also a powerful grassroots organization, uniting women in diverse neighborhoods from coast to coast.
