Celebrating 18 years of leadership.

March 06, 2015

Ursuline’s Vice President for Academic Affairs, JoAnne Podis, Ph.D., is retiring this month after being with the College for the past 18 years. While in this position, she has been in charge of academics, online learning, student advising, information technology, The Ralph M. Besse Library and the Florence O’Donnell Wasmer Gallery. During that time, she has made the quality of the College’s academic programs her top priority while continuously adapting to the rapidly evolving arena of higher education. In addition to establishing several new programs on the undergraduate and graduate level, including the College’s first doctoral program, she has also been an advocate for the use of technology in the classroom.
