April 13, 2015

INDIANAPOLIS -
Ursuline College senior Bea Indurain has been named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced Monday (April 13) afternoon.

This is the first time this outdoor season that Indurain has received the honor. She also won the award twice during the indoor season before being named the conference's Track Athlete of the Year.

Indurain was a standout at Saturday's (April 11) All-Ohio Championships. She ran a 14.03 in the 100 meter hurdles which broke her own school record. The time was also under the provisional qualifying standard to qualify for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The only two hurdlers to finish ahead of Indurain on Saturday were both from The Ohio State University.

She also finished ninth in the 200 with a time of 25.97 which was just .03 shy of cracking the school's top-five list. Indurain ran third on the 4x100 relay team that finished third in 48.45.

This weekend, Indurain and the rest of the the Arrows will attempt to win their third straight Great Midwest Athletic Conference title at the G-MAC Outdoor Championships. The meet, which is being held at Cedarville University's Yellow Jacket Track and Field Complex, will begin at 10:30 a.m.
