Senior Scholar Day

November 01, 2014
Location: Ursuline College

Senior Scholar Day is Ursuline's premier fall visit day for high school seniors interested in any of our 30 plus majors. You'll choose sessions in line with your academic interests, meet with faculty from your major and learn more about how an Ursuline education makes grads 3x more likely to have successful after graduation. You'll also hear from financial aid, meet current students and tour our beautiful 100-acre suburban campus. Plus, scholarship opportunities will be available.

Each student will start off the day by touring campus according to your track. While learning about Ursuline’s beautiful campus, specialized stops will highlight each major. You will hear directly from professors and current students what their major is all about! Classes you might take, opportunities outside of the classroom and career opportunities. Plus additional stops will highlight other resources or departments. The day will wrap up with lunch and a presentation from the Admission Office and Financial Aid.

We have five different tracks available that will highlight the following majors:
  1. Helping Professions: nursing, social work, and education
  2. STEM Professions: biology, biotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, medical technology, and pre-professional programs
  3. Creative Arts Professions: art studio, art history, art therapy, fashion design, fashion merchandising, English, and visual communication design
  4. Business Professions: accounting, business management, management information systems, public relations and marketing communications, and sports management
  5. Social Science Professions: criminal justice, psychology, philosophy, political science, pre-law, history, historic preservation, religious studies, and sociology
