September 19, 2018
Location: Daley Hall

picture of brandon chrostowskiBrandon Edwin Chrostowski, who founded EDWINS, a gourmet restaurant and culinary training program for people recently released from prison, will present “Knife Skills,” the OSCAR-nominated short documentary about his restaurant on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 6:00 p.m. in Daley Hall.

A short talk/Q+A will follow the screening. Under Chrostowski’s leadership, EDWINS has grown to include culinary education and life skills training at its flagship Shaker Square restaurant and Second Chance Life Skills Center, a program at Grafton Correctional Institute, and curriculum for inmates of all 30 Ohio prisons. Chrostowski will share his second chance and goals for women and men who have served time in prison. Click here to watch the trailer for “Knife Skills.”

Chrostowski’s visit is made possible in part by a grant from the Ursuline Sisters of Cleveland to encourage students to consider ideas of vocation, calling and purpose in their lives. Students and all attendees will hear about the mission of EDWINS and how it helps the people who work there find their purpose. Free and open to the public.
