Sisters Serving Northeast Ohio: Progress and Promise Exhibit
October 09, 2013
Location: Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel
"Sisters Serving Northeast Ohio" was unveiled at The Maltz Jewish Heritage Museum in Beachwood, Ohio in 2010, as part of "Women & Spirit: Catholic Sisters in America" – a national touring exhibit sponsored by the Leadership Conference of Women Religious (LCWR) in association with the Cincinnati Museum Center. "Women & Spirit" reveals the mystery behind a small group of dedicated, courageous and innovative women of faith who helped shape the nation's social and cultural landscape.
"Sisters Serving Northeast Ohio: Progress & Promise" is the local, Northeast Ohio portion of "Women & Spirit." It has been adapted as a traveling exhibit intended to build on the positive energy, reflections, and dialogue generated by "Women & Spirit." We welcome you to continue the celebration of the lives and works of our area's Catholic sisters who began serving their neighbors in 1850.
The exhibit will be displayed in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel from September 17 to October 9, 2013, and will be open from 11am - 5 PM Monday through Friday and 1PM to 7PM on Saturday & Sunday.
