Ursuline College Presents
Abuse in Our Community: A Comprehensive Discussion
Monday, March 21, 2016  6-8PM
Daley Hall, Ursuline Campus

Although tremendous strides have been made with respect to social and legal awareness of domestic abuse, many myths persist, and many populations - teens, the elderly, and immigrants

- remain particularly vulnerable to the horrors of such violence. Join us for an eye-opening

panel discussion about abuse, and learn about the resources available to support victims

in our community.

Speakers Include:

Mae Bennett, Family Violence Services Coordinator, Jewish Family Service Association of Cleveland

Stacy Dever, Program Director for Catholic Charities Office of Migration and Refugee Services

Sarah Froimson, Hebrew Shelter Home and Families at Risk Manager, Jewish Family Service Assoc. of Clev.

Melanie GiaMaria, Attorney

Alexandria Ruden, Senior Attorney at the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland

Paige Wilson, Community Outreach Advocate, Forbes House

The event is free and open to the public with a dessert reception following the discussion.

Sponsored by: Campus Ministry of Ursuline College, Jewish Family Services Association, Iota Psi, Student Nurses

of Ursuline College (SNUC), Social Work Organization of Ursuline College, Ursuline Studies Program, Women’s

Education, Advocacy and Value Committee (WEAV) of Ursuline College and Ursuline’s Office of Inclusion,
