Women Watch: Prayer Vigil and Silent Procession

March 24, 2015

Women Watch is a gathering of actively concerned people sponsored by The Student Arts Organization for Peace and Justice, The Dorothy Kazel Club for Systemic Change and Campus Ministry, bound together by our outrage against violence towards women and children.

We come together to say – Stop Violence – Let violence be no more!

We believe that violence hurts everyone – the victim, the perpetrator, and those who love them – and we believe that life is sacred. Our commitment as Women Watch is to keep the attention of the Greater Cleveland area on ways to end violence, not through one-time statement, but through on going action.

We are mobilized to speak out together against violence, and committed to working toward positive action through public awareness and preventive education. The red silhouettes represent all the women and children who have died this year as a result of a violent death in Cuyahoga County.

Tuesday, March 24 | 3pm

We will start our silent procession in the Art Department around the quad and back to the Pilla Center.
