Bowling closes out season at the American Heartland Championships

The Ursuline College Bowling team bowled in the American Heartland Conference Championships in Warren, Ohio back on February 26. Because of the amount of teams and the amount of total scoring, the results were delayed and have yet to be officially posted. However, unofficially the Arrows earned a national ranking of 53rd and a spot in the Sectional Tournament.

Ursuline has strong finish in Hoosier Classic to earn National Ranking

The Ursuline College Bowling team bowled its first Tier 1 tournament this past weekend in the Backhaul Direct Hoosier Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's regarded as the largest, most competitive college bowling tournament in the country.

American Heartland IV Bowling Recap

The Ursuline College Bowling team competed at the American Heartland Conference IV Tournament in Lansing, Michigan on February 5. Based on the numbers, it was the Arrows best performance this year. After the first five games, Ursuline was seveth out of 15 teams with a season-high 4,313 (862.6 per game), highlighted by a 936 game.

December - January Bowling Recap

The Ursuline College Bowling team competed at the Shippensburg Classic in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on December 4 and 5. With a young roster, the Arrows continued its improvement with a third place finish out of five teams. They scored 7,448 points - second most of the season to this point, beating out Rochester Institute of Technology and Benn State University - Berks.

The Ursuline College Bowling team has competed in three events this year. The season began at the American Heartland Conference I Tournament in Dayton. It was the first collegiate tournament for the five new freshmen, who all participated in the majority of the tourney - gaining valuable experience along the way, while setting a standard in Ursuline Bowling competition.

In the program's very first season, the Ursuline College Bowling team had two athletes named to the Academic All-American Team by the National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association. Liz Shoda and Jody Scimone each maintained a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 to be named to the Academic All-American Team.
