Deciding on a college and major can be both exciting and challenging, but the process of transferring should not be stressful. At Ursuline, we’ve made the process as simple as possible. Below you can find the transfer requirements that fit you. Once you think you’re ready to get started you can download our Transfer Checklist, check out which Ursuline courses you must complete on our credit evaluation page, or apply online.

All transfer students are required to submit:

  • Online application
  • Official transcripts from all colleges or universities attended

Transfer applicants with less than 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours must also submit:

  • Official high school transcripts or GED 
  • Results from the ACT or SAT exam (not required for students who are 23 and over)

Transfer applicants to the Breen School of Nursing must also submit:

  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor or adviser, a current resume, or a personal statement.
  • Letter of good standing if currently or previously enrolled in a nursing program

Optional for transfer students applying to any academic program:

  • Letter of recommendation from a teacher, professor or adviser, a current resume, or a personal statement.
  • Interview with an admission counselor

Ursuline’s Admission Committee seeks to identify and admit students who will add character to the college community while succeeding academically. To make a qualified decision, the Admission Committee will holistically consider all materials submitted.

Transfer applicants can expect a decision by mail within 2 weeks of the date all required application materials are received. An official credit evaluation outlining transferable courses and direct equivalencies will be mailed to you following your admission. Until then, you can use our Credit Transfer Tool and information on our Credit Evaluation page to learn more about how credits may transfer to Ursuline.

Adult students with at least 30 semester hours completed may also finish their bachelor’s degree with the Ursuline College Adult Program (UCAP).
