From Friday, Nov. 4, through Friday, Dec. 16, Ursuline College presents Green Arts Invitational 2016: Environmental + Upcycled Art. Artists as diverse as they are talented turn unlikely objects into art with delightful results in this exhibition.
Exhibiting artists are Michele Biondo, Kole Robinson Brooks, Falcon Eddie Cummins, Jennifer L. Fay, Larry Fielder, Laszlo Gyorki, Cyndi Konopka, Scott Pickering, Sister Diane Therese Pinchot and Linda Zolten-Wood. Zolten-Wood, the Northeast Ohio artist and designer perhaps best known for transforming sustainable rain barrels into works of art, organized the show.
A family fun upcycled art workshop and an Upcycle Artists Holiday Sale will complement the exhibition on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 11am until 3pm in the gallery. Participants will have the opportunity to make artwork using familiar materials and purchase upcycled art created by the exhibiting artists.
Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 12–5pm; Saturday and Sunday, 1:30–4:30pm. The gallery is closed on Mondays and will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Nov. 22 through Nov. 27.
