Exhibition and Events Schedule

Ursuline College is hosting Healing Imagination VII: The Art Therapy Juried Exhibition featuring creative works by the Counseling and Art Therapy faculty, students and alumnae. The theme of the show highlights thirty years of the Art Therapy master’s degree program at Ursuline College. The work encompasses a wide range of media including drawings, paintings, prints, photography, ceramics, mixed media and jewelry.

The College’s Counseling and Art Therapy program was established in 1986 under the direction of Sr. Kathleen Burke, O.S.U., Ph.D., ATR-BC, LPC-S, along with current program director, Gail Rule-Hoffman, MA, ATR-BC, LPC-S, LICDC, and faculty members Amy Jacobs, PhD., ATR-BC, and Rick Rule-Hoffman, MA, LPC-S, ATR-BC.

Art Therapy combines the therapeutic use of art and the power of images to heal. The Ursuline College Counseling and Art Therapy program is the only graduate Art Therapy program in the state of Ohio.

In addition to the exhibit, this milestone celebration will feature a gathering and dessert reception in the lounge of the new Parker Hannifin Center for Creative and Healing Arts, on September 17, 2016, 7– 10 PM.
