Boggs, Maher, and Mlady Named NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes
Miranda Boggs, Elizabeth Maher and Briana Mlady were all named 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Softball Scholar-Athletes. The award which is given to only Juniors and Seniors, is awarded to those student-athletes that carry a 3.5 grade point average or better.

Doubleheader against Walsh has been moved to Thursday at home
Yesterday's Ursuline College Softball doubleheader at Walsh University, which was postponed due to weather and field conditions, has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 28 at 4:00 p.m. at the Ursuline College Softball Field. Ursuline will then close out the season on Saturday, April 30 at home against Mt. Vernon. It will be the Arrows final game of the regular-season as we honor the only senior, Jessica Seaman. Please check the softball schedule for all changes.

Ursuline Softball splits doubleheader with Case Western Reserve
The Ursuline College Softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Case Western Reserve University on Friday afternoon at home. Ursuline took a 3-0 lead in game one, to hold on for the 3-2 victory. In game two, the Arrows came from behind twice late in the game to force extra innings, but fell 6-5 in the eighth inning.

Maher powers Arrows to AMC split with Notre Dame
The Ursuline College Softball team split an American Mideast Conference doubleheader with rival Notre Dame College Wednesday afternoon at home. Elizabeth Maher went 3-7 over the two games with a two-run double in the first game, a two-run home run in game two, and a game-winning RBI-double in the Arrows last at-bat in game two.

Ursuline finally opens home schedule; drops a pair to Malone
The Ursuline College Softball team, which has had a majority of its games rained or snowed out this season, finally opened its regular-season home schedule with a Saturday doubleheader against Malone. Fighting the cold weather, the Arrows dropped both games, losing game one 9-1 and game two 13-3.

Today's Ursuline College Softball doubleheader against Malone will take place at home, starting at 3:00 pm. The game had previously been moved from a home game to Malone, but has been moved back home after Malone received snow overnight.

The Ursuline College Softball has announced its changes to the early season schedule, after a pair of double-headers were rained out. Ursuline will travel to Chatham on Monday, March 28 for a doubleheader starting at 4:00 pm. The Arrows will host Salem International on Thursday, April 21 for a doubleheader starting at 3:30 pm. Softball records 12th-highest team GPA in the nation (NAIA)
The Ursuline College Softball team earned a combined 3.38 team grade point average in 2009-10, finishing with the 12th highest GPA in the nation among other NAIA programs. With their strong GPA, the Arrows had seven individual Scholar-Athletes, which requires a GPA of 3.50 or better.

Softball recruit named Player of the Year in Maine
Softball recruit Sarah Maxwell, who can both pitch and play first base, was recently named Player of the Year in the state of Maine by the Kennebec Newspaper. She was a four-time first-team All-Conference selection and Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Player of the Year over the last three seasons of her high school career.

Originally scheduled for March 26th the doubleheader was shortened to just one game after a nine-inning game and inbound rain prevented a game two.

The Arrows Softball Team enters the 2009-10 season with a solid balance of youth and experience. Guided by the team?s lone senior, Hillary Beachy, the Blue and Gold feature five sophomores and seven freshmen on a roster of 15.
