Jaylene Taylor named to AMC All-Second Team and All-Freshman Team

The American Mideast Conference has announced its All-Conference Awards, and freshman Jaylene Taylor was named to both the All-Freshmen Team and the All-Conference Second Team for her performance in 2010-11. Sophomore Laura Campbell, who made last season's All-Freshman Team, was an Honorable Mention for the Arrows.

Ursuline drops final game of the season at Wilberforce

The Ursuline Arrows fell 74-69 on the road at Wilberforce University to close out the 2010-11 season. Ursuline finishes the season with a recorded of 7-23 overall and 4-12 in the conference. One bright spot for the Arrows on the season and in the game has been Jaylene Taylor, who scored a game-high 21 points - raising her season average to 12.3 points per game.

The Ursuline College women's basketball team (7-22, 4-11) took on Mount Vernon Nazarene University on Tuesday evening, falling on the road 91-55. Jaylene Taylor scored 21 points, while Michele Hare (13 points) and Krysti Tietze (11 points) combined with Taylor to score 45 of thet team's 55 points.

The Ursuline College women's basketball team (6-21, 3-10) played one of its most well-rounded games of the season against one of its toughest opponents, falling 64-57 to #14 Cedarville University. Ursuline held the Yellow Jackets to 7-31 shooting from long range, and out-rebounded them 44-41.

Coming into the season, senior Ashlie Hargrove knew she needed to lead a group of young and inexperienced teammates in order to find success on the court. With only three returning players on a roster of 14, and with the other two returners combining for only 13 points last season, Hargrove by far was the face of this team entering this season.
