First-year Admission Requirements

Ursuline’s Admission Committee seeks to identify and admit students who will add character to the college community while succeeding academically. To make a qualified decision, the Admission Committee will holistically consider:

  • Completed application for admission
  • Evidence of a college preparatory curriculum
    - 4 years of English
    - 3 years of Math (including Algebra II), Science, and Social Studies
    - 2 years of the same Foreign Language
    - 1 year of Fine or Performing Art)
  • Grade point average and grade trends
  • ACT or SAT scores
  • Writing ability, assessed through application for admission personal statement
  •  Extracurricular activities and accomplishments
  • Recommendation from a teacher or school counselor
  • Interview with an admission counselor (optional)

While no minimum grade point average, class rank or standardized test scores are specified in this process for admission to most academic programs, these measures must provide evidence of readiness for future success at Ursuline College.

*Please note additional requirements and criteria for
Nursing and Pharmacy applicants.
