Ursuline College Merit Scholarships
The following scholarships are awarded based on application for admission to the college. No separate application is required. Students must have clear admission to Ursuline College prior to August 1st for consideration. Scholarship amounts are based on GPA and test scores at the point of admission. The minimum eligibility requirements for these scholarships are: 2.8 cumulative grade point average and an ACT score of 20 or an SAT Math and Verbal total score of 940. Students are awarded one of the scholarships listed below based on the combination of their GPA and test scores as reviewed at the point of admission.
Ursuline Scholarship
- Students are awarded up to $8500 per year.
- Awards are based on Academic Credentials -- ACT range 19 - 26, GPA range 2.75 - 4.0
- The Ursuline Scholarship is renewable for a total of four years as long as the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and earns 30 semester hours per year at Ursuline.
Ursuline Award
- Students are awarded up to $6,000 per year.
- Awards are based on Academic Credentials -- ACT range 19 - 24, GPA range 2.75 - 3.49
- The Ursuline Award is renewable for a total of four years as long as the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 2.8 and earns 30 semester hours per year at Ursuline.

Presidential Scholarship
- Students are awarded up to $12,000, plus $1,000 towards the cost of a room in the residence halls.
- Students must have an ACT score of at least 27 (SAT Math/Verbal Total 1210) and a GPA of 3.6.
- Renewable for a total of four years as long as the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and earns 30 semester hours per year at Ursuline.
Dean's Scholarship
- Students can be awarded up to $11,000 per year.
- Students must generally have an ACT score of 24 (SAT Math/Verbal Total 1090) and a GPA of 3.4
- Renewable for a total of four years as long as the student maintains a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and earns 30 semester hours per year at Ursuline.

Other Ursuline College Scholarships
In addition to receiving one of Ursuline's Merit Scholarships, students may be eligible for one of the awards listed below. Students must have clear admission to the College to be considered for the following scholarships. Students will be considered for these scholarships based on two essays of no less than 500 words, describing their involvement in community service or volunteer experience outside of their school, and describing their personal values, how they have voiced or lived these values throughout their life, and how they envision their values will shape their future.
Alumnae Scholarship
- Up to $1,000
- Recipient must be the child or niece of an Ursuline College or St. Johns College alumnae.
Archbishop Hoban Scholarship
- Check for deadlines with your guidance counselor.
- Up to $1,000
- Awarded to students from Catholic high schools in the Cleveland Diocese.
- Students must apply through high school guidance counselors.
Community Service Scholarship
- Students can be awarded up to $3,000.
- Awarded to students who have contributed to their communities and high schools through leadership and service experiences.
- Students must include a separate essay describing their service activity and how it has helped their personal growth and development.
LEAD Scholarship
- $450.00 book voucher for fall semester; renewable for first spring semester only contingent upon successful participation in Project: LEAD
- Awarded to 20 full-time students
- Eligibility: First Generation College Student
St. Angela Scholarship
- Students can be awarded from $500 to $2,000.
- All students coming from an Ursuline high school that have clear admission to the college will be considered for this scholarship.
Sister Michael Francis Hearon Scholarship
- Awarded to one full-time first-year student entering the English Program.
- Renewable for three years.
Fayen Scholarship For Education Students
- Awarded to one full-time first-year student entering the Education program.
- Selection for the award by the education department is based on review of each student's application, resume, and essay.
- Renewable for 3 years.
Values, Voice and Vision Scholarship
- Students can be awarded up to $3,000
- Students must be clearly admitted to the college
- Selection for the award by the scholarship committee is based on review of each student's application, resume, and essay.

Financial Aid Web Search Through the Web. FastWeb is the largest and most complete scholarship search on the Internet. It provides access to a searchable database of more than 400,000 private scholarships, fellowships, grants, and student loans. FastWeb is a free service.
It is best to start private scholarship searches early, usually in December, for the following academic year. Scholarship application deadlines are commonly in February through May.
