The Breen School of Nursing RN to MSN Program

Excellence in Nursing Education

As the leading educator in healthcare, Ursuline College's Breen School of Nursing has maintained a stellar reputation within the health care community for over 30 years. Our faculty is expert in various nursing fields with proven professional outcomes. The RN to MSN program is a seamless and cost saving transition from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program to the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) curriculum.  Upon successful completion of the program, the student receives a BSN and MSN degree.

We offer a values-based, caring environment that prepares students for further education, careers, leadership and service to society. Our mission is to provide a holistic, values-based education in the Catholic tradition that prepares graduates whose practice of professional nursing is competent, caring and reflective. The Breen School of Nursing is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and fully approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Accessibility

Our new online program for RN to BSN provides the accessibility for the working or busy registered nurse professional. Online nursing core course completion is possible in as little as 12 months*. Most non-nursing degree requirements are offered online or hybrid format. Our online classroom size provides a sense of community and inclusiveness. Sample RN to BSN transition plans are found here

Graduate-level courses are offered in a variety of ways including in the classroom, online and hybrid, a combination of the both. All classes are offered in the evening and meet once a week.
