Information about the Center of Excellence in Ethical and Entrepreneurial Leadership

The Center of Excellence in Ethical and Entrepreneurial Leadership for Global Competence is an extension of several leadership activities at Ursuline. The Center’s primary purpose is to prepare individuals for further education, careers, leadership positions, and service to the community which is in direct alignment with Ursuline’s mission, vision and strategic initiatives. Enhanced by Ursuline’s vibrant heritage of educating women, the Center will strive to support future business leaders to attain their maximum creative potential. The Center is located in the School of Graduate and Professional Studies.

The mission of the Center of Excellence is to contribute to the development of ethical and entrepreneurial leaders of exceptional integrity who are empowered, informed, responsible and dedicated to educating others. The Center’s Vision is to become a premiere entrepreneurial, research-based learning center that focuses on leadership development from an ethical, values-based business perspective.  The Center is committed to teaching individuals to contribute to the local community by leading productive and responsible lives that lead to professional success and personal fulfillment. These aspirations combined with Ursuline College’s spiritual vitality in the Catholic tradition contribute to a vision that inspires academic excellence and lifelong learning while promoting a sense of caring and of meaningful interaction among all members of the Center’s community.

The Center’s conferences, events and networking activities focus on entrepreneurship, ethical leadership, market innovation, economic and social business issues, technological advancements, international business and globalization. Ursuline’s President, Sr. Diana Stano, stated that “hearing from our expert speakers, students and members of the Northeast Ohio community will get a chance to share their own experiences and network with entrepreneurial business leaders and their supporters”.
