    Instructor:  DoHee Kim-Appel, Ph.D., IMFT, PCC, LCDCIII, NCC

This course provides an introduction to the field of chemical dependency with an overview
of treatment approaches.  Participants will explore assessment procedures - the necessary
first step in the treatment as well as the continuum of care.  In addidtion, the course will
address theoretical perspectives as well as best practices in the treatment of chemical
dependency.

Saturday, June 8, 2013  Silk Painting Workshop

Trauma Informed Care and Social Action
9 a.m. - 5 p.m.  ATC Department  (1 Graduate Credit or Non-Credit fee $95)
    Instructor:  Gretchen Miller, MA, ATR-BC, CTC

This course will introduce trauma informed art-based strategies and creative applications
that can be implemented into a socially engaged therapeutic practice with individuals,
groups, and in the community.  Participants will discover how creative expression helps
provide a voice for women and youth survivors of domestic violence, families living with
homelessness, and learn more about the role of art-making for empowerment,
