Drama Workshop's 2015 production will be To Bind Up the Wounds: Catholic Sister Nurses in the U.S. Civil War, which will be performed on February 27th (7:30 p.m.), February 28th (7:30 p.m.), and March 1st (2 p.m.).  Based on a book by Professor Emerita Sr. Mary Denis Maher, the play will be directed by Jenny Dunegan, M.F.A., and the play was written by a number of people connected with Ursuline.  If you would like tickets, which are free, please contact Sr. Cynthia Glavac.  After each performance, a meet and greet with the cast, director, and playwrights will be held. Take a Break with a Book will take place on March 2, 2015 at noon in Mullen 321.  Bring your lunch and bring a recently read book to tell the others about.

Professor JoAnne Podis will be giving a presentation at the Jane Austen Society of North America Ohio North Coast meeting on Sunday, March 8, 2015.  The meeting runs from 1:15-4 p.m. at the Twinsburg Public Library.  You can get a preview of the presentation here.

The Senior Research Seminar presentations will take place on April 24, 2015 at 3 p.m. in Mullen 313.  Please come hear the results of the research that our senior English majors have conducted.

Inscape will celebrate its 70th anniversary of publication this spring with a special program, coordinated by the English Department, Alumnae Office, and Marketing on April 29, 2015 in the Pilla Center.

The Northeast Ohio English Department Consortium sponsored the 2015 Career Symposium for English Majors, which was held on the Ursuline campus on Saturday, February 7, 2015.  It was a great event, and we hope to have some pictures from it to share soon!

October 20, 2014 was the National Day on Writing, so it was an excellent day to do some writing.

English department member JoAnne Podis presented at Ursuline's TEDx event on October 17, 2014.

Banned Books Week was celebrated with a Read Out on September 23, 2014.
